Distel, hailing from Ghent, Belgium, is a visionary DJ and producer specializing in acidcore, acidtekno, and occasional forays into hardcore and doomcore. With a musical journey spanning over a decade, Distel's sound is a mesmerizing blend of darkness, melancholy, and emotion, intricately woven into each track to tell a captivating story from start to finish.

He aims to transport listeners into a realm of ethereal melodies, haunting atmospheres, and pulsating rhythms. It all began with his first freeparty experience near Ghent, leading him down a path that would see him fall in love with the sound, culture, and community of acid and tekno music. Motivated by influential concepts like Acid Arena, Retro Acid, and Acid Addiction, as well as the iconic Ghentian venue Chinastraat, Distel quickly immersed himself in the world of sound systems and synthesizers, ultimately founding an organization and sound system in 2016.

Distel's music is a deeply personal form of self-expression and communal celebration. Drawing influences from artists like Acidpach, Frixion Fanatic, Mr. Gasmask, Collision, and Shirin in his sonic creations. He aims to preserve and revive the essence of dance as a ritual, fostering a sense of unity and togetherness reminiscent of tribal drumming from ancient times.
